Current activities of our lawmakers on motorcycles and it's riders...

Posted on 19:51 by Unknown

This is how smart our legislators are...

Questions:

What if I have 5 motorcycles, do I put all five stickers in my helmet?!? Or do I buy one helmet for each motorcycle?
How about delivery and messengers? Do they share the helmet registered to a specific motorcycle?

This one is ok but has a flaw in the muffler section...

http://www.congress.gov.ph/download/basic_15/HB01902.pdf

All except for the muffler issue...

They should create a more specific IRR for this one that includes the over all standard or decibel limit, the process of measurement and process of enforcement...

Otherwise, this law, the same with Section 85 of the Pasig City ordinance and other ordinances around the country is deemed as subjective and prone to abuse and corruption....

No more younglings on motorcycles if this one is approved...

I think the age is reasonable... What do you think?

I would rather say, if the passenger is not capable of latching on or holding unto the operator of the motorcycle then they shouldn't be riding at all.

What are your thoughts?

We've seen this before...

Why create a replica of an old bill that has been trashed? We all know that Quezon City is doing this on Commonwealth avenue however, it seems to be failing big time right now... I witnessed this first hand as we passed along the said road yesterday... Buses and jeeps eating away on the motorcycle lane like it was theirs to use... Thus making it equally dangerous as mixing them together with public vehicles...

Other bills currently being proposed but has not been submitted for approval:

House Bill No. 5258, entitled:
“AN ACT TO PROMOTE MANDATORY USE
OF REFLECTIVE VEST WHEN RIDING
MOTORCYCLES AND BICYCLES”
By Representative Bonoan-David
